After a weekend of extreme snowfall and accumulations of almost 5 feet near the northern border of New York, lake-effect snow bands lingered Monday morning. The Lake Ontario snow band had mostly dried up, but tendrils of moderate to locally heavy snow continued to stream southeast off Lake Erie, and a renewed batch of lake-effect snow may fall Tuesday night into Wednesday.
