Ceilings soar to 20 feet. An arched Palladian window with 100 small panes of glass offers treetop views from a bedroom. The three condos carved from the former Alexander Memorial Baptist Church in Georgetown’s East Village have contemporary open floor plans but contain vestiges of the 1909 structure.

“They have wide-open space with clean lines and don’t have a traditional Georgetown feel,” said Sassan Gharai, president of SGA Companies, the architecture firm that designed the condos. “Because they all have several levels, they live like a townhouse.”
