It would be understandable for the Democratic Party to look at the 2024 election and think to themselves, “Well, it wasn’t that bad.” They lost control of the House, the Senate and the presidency, sure. But it was far from the huge shift toward the GOP that Donald Trump and his allies have made it out to be.
